Is MSPSTET 2026 a recruitment for new teacher posts?

Why is this eligibility test being held?
The Supreme Court's order dated 01 September 2025 in Civil Appeals 1385/2025 and 1386/2025 requires in-service teachers recruited before the RTE Act who have more than five years left to superannuation to qualify the TET in order to continue in service. On review (Diary No. 53434/2025) the Court extended that window from two years to three, so the qualification has to be obtained by 31 August 2028 instead of 31 August 2027.
