JSSC Kakshapal (Jail Warder) Recruitment 2026

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission's brochure for the Jharkhand Kakshapal Competitive Examination 2025 (Advertisement No. 07/2025) covers Kakshapal (Jail Warder) posts under the Inspectorate of Prisons and Correctional Services, with 1634 regular and 19 backlog vacancies for men and 64 regular and 16 backlog vacancies for women. The minimum qualification is a Matriculation pass and the pay is Level-2 (Rs 19,900 to 63,200); age is counted as on 01 August 2025, with a minimum of 18 years, category-wise maxima of 25 to 30 years for general applicants and 45 years for ex-servicemen. Candidates must first clear a qualifying physical stage, which sets a minimum height of 160 cm for men (155 cm for SC/ST) and 148 cm for women and a 1600 metre run in 06 minutes for men and 10 minutes for women, before sitting the OMR written examination and the medical examination. The examination fee is Rs 100, reduced to Rs 50 only for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates of Jharkhand, and the brochure records that these posts are exempt from the 4 percent horizontal reservation for persons with disabilities, so candidates with disabilities are not eligible to apply.
