What is the selection process?
DSSSB conducts a One Tier Technical examination for Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Civil), and a Two Tier examination for Legal Assistant and Grade-II (GNCTDSS) / Assistant Section Officer, where Tier-I is qualifying and used only for shortlisting and Tier-II decides the merit list. Candidates then submit department and post preferences at the online calling of the e-dossier, and the User Department scrutinises the e-dossier and verifies documents. The notice lists no medical examination.
Is there negative marking, and what are the qualifying marks?
Yes. 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer to a 1-mark question and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer to a 2-mark question. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General and EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi) and 30% for SC, ST and PwBD, with ex-servicemen getting 5% relaxation within their category subject to a floor of 30%.
